The Aero model offers a 1.4-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine with up to 184 ft-lb of torque @ 2,500-4,000 rpm and 160 horsepower @ 5,500 rpm. With the 1.4-liter's manual transmission you can get up to 41 mpg highway, and you may get up to 40 mpg highway with the automatic that will have a dual dry-clutch transmission (DDCT) system. Finally, the SXT, Limited and GT models will have a 2.4-liter inline-4 engine. This engine will provide up to 171 lb-ft of torque @ 4,800 rpm, and 184 horsepower @ 6,250 rpm. For fuel economy you can expect up to 33 mpg highway for the GT and the manual transmission, 35 mpg highway for the Limited and SXT trims with the manual, 31 mpg highway for the GT and automatic, and 35 mpg highway for the Limited and SXT with the automatic. Elements of the car's makeup that make it run so well include its suspension attachment stiffness, rear upper and underbody structure reinforcement, and the suspension bushing tuning.
